Have you ever assemble your own bat before? It is easy and fun... enjoy

I have used various glues before.. Rubber cement and waterbased glue.. their very similiar. Rubber cement are still widely use now (e.g. Haifu glue)

Tips:
- For gluing Ox rubbers, you should use waterbased glue, it is much easier to manage.

- I used scissor instead of penknife to cut the rubber. Penknife, if not sharp tend to tear the sponge.

- Apply glue to the side of the blade too, so that your side tape can stick much better.

- If you are a EJ like me, try to leave a 1 to 2mm allowance on the rubber protruding out of the blade. So that it can fit easier on another blade :)

I've been using scissor all this while and the cuts were not smooth, and the blade handle blocks the way. Recently, I found this special scissor .... overcome the blocking problem I had. And surprisingly, it gives a very clean cut. You can get this scissor locally. Suppose to be used to cut plastic bottle, etc. Will tell you later where to get it after I buy some to stock up myself first.. lol.

I used to use penknife (cutter) but ever since I have blades of different sizes I use scissors instead. Just cut out the rubbers (before gluing up) to the size that fits the largest blade & everything's good! lol
I believe I have the same scissors as yours (but black handle). I must try find it now!
Thanks!

PS: For a cleaner cut dip the scissors in oil or soap water before cutting the rubber. Best

Using penknife is good if the rubber is already glued onto the blade & you want to cut it to the exact size of your blade.
