Yup he kind of mentioned it to me indirectly & I kind of understood he used to be a state player or something.
A very good player to practice with.

Maybe nobody tell him or corrected his weak point.
But surprisingly , he can beat some players here with ease.
His skill or lp , only he know !

video 23 : Mr Square vs Siao U

Mr Square has a very good backhand serve. On top of that, his forehand loop and drive is amazing too.

video 24 : Both MM playing jpen ,one smooth and one short pip

The MM with short-pip is using jpen : Senkoh-5. This is a very traditional set-up.
It is good for both forehand and backhand smashing.

MM? Mamma Mia? LOL
Bchan & I played doubles against the MMs in video 24. Before the match I was a bit lethargic but I was well awake & energetic after being on the receiving end of several smashes from the MMs! lol

The MM in video 25 can really hit/smash the ball very hard!

Both MMs play aggressive forehand smash during double games.
It is hard to block their smashing.
The only way is to start attack first or control their backhand.

btw, wrongly ,im 4get to video your 'old man' style blocking tactics.
maybe next time.

correct should take more Mr Loh video during next tt session (tmr friday 13 Jan)

but i also found your blocking style is quite unique.
lp - can block and chop ,plus occasionally flick.
switch to pip-in - can block and flick.
this skill is often use during match/games.
i think this is the result of constant training and reflection.
the next 'old man' style is just another skill added into your bh skill.

:) :) :)

Yup I've always try to add new tools/skills to my game - more variations & more options. Keep practising & then slowly adding the new skills during matches/games (patience!). Playing double matches is a good way to test the new skills. That 'old man' style is good for near the table play which hasn't been part of my game & once I get used to this new skills I don't always have to be away from the table. Good luck to me! LOL

MM means sister or lady.

Try out new skill during double is a good method.
2 different opponents means 2 different style of returning ball method.
For single games, it is good to try with lower lvl players.

'Lady'?? Mr Wang, you must be the only guy who goes around addressing ladies of all ages as MM! (I recommend JJ instead) lol

True but the best is to get players who are interested to help & they can see something which they can improve on out of what we want to practise.

Anyway below is a short video clip of the power puff girls in action last week (Wednesday). Click on the image to view the video.

You're not alone. I thought my stance was low enough but it wasn't! We don't realise it until we've seen the video of us playing!
