Hi everyone. I'm looking for any fellow beginners who would like to practice/play regularly in the west. I live in Bukit Batok so anyone living in the same area would be great, if not nearby will work as well. I'm not really sure where we can play so if you know of any good places(especially in BB) do suggest here.

I used to play TT in sec sch for 4 years but stopped after that and have not touched the bat for about 6 years now. So my level will be just like any other new beginner. I know most of the simple drills(I think I can remember?) we can use to brush up on our basics so it's okay if you're totally new to the sport.

As we get a little better we can start joining the other regular TT sessions in the west area. So if anyone is interested please just reply here with...

name/nick:
your location:
your preferred day/time to play:
any place in mind to play:
contact: (if you're comfortable posting)

All beginners welcome! You'll be able to find your own training partner from this thread. So let me start the ball rolling

Name: Ryan
Location: Bukit Batok (near west mall)
Preferred Timings: Anyday from 6pm onwards, before 6pm possible but schedule not fixed. Should be pretty free these few weeks though
Place: would like to find somewhere in BB, but right now perhaps teck whye? (haven't been there yet)

I wouldn't mind having a "beginners gathering" at a central area once in awhile but I'd definitely prefer to play in the west for frequent sessions.

Yes I do. Tampines east , west , north n changkat all I attended b4.
East side has a lot of tt session which also including geylang seri cc and chiao nam pri school, parsiry east n west.

Sometime I also travel north , like anchovale cc , ycc cc n yishan sport hall

Then central , I normally go STTA n sage. Bishan s h also good for gathering.

Now less travel to west n don't have much infor about that area.

I notice that actually u can tt 365 days per yr , just need
to know the member or kaki of that individual tt group n later
u will find it is not that hard to play tt in spore.

From my experience ,if keep playing without resting , it will reduce
Interest n passion toward tt. More like going to 'work' than a hobby.
Tt will get more interesting if u can wait until hand very itchy.

True. I couldn't play for about a few months due to my exams and now im vey eager to train. I go for about 5 days a week of tt training including my school training but its practically useless as my friends don't know how to train haha. So my current training at 5T is real deal provided i can get to spar with quality players. But my school training is going to stop very soon so im hoping to find a substitute on tues and thurs..

5T is a good place to spar and training .Sometime can get 1 or more tips from the members.
but do remember ,not all tips are good tips, not all tips can apply on ownself.
u have improve. hopefully 1 day u can be a quality member too and give help to other 5T members.

hi sakuragi,

I remember the last time i used to play table tennis at block 115 as well as the community centre but that was about many years back.
I am not sure whether the bukit batok community centre still has table tennis table available for the public.
I will have to check it out.
We can arrange for the venue and time if you are interested.

Hi Thomas,

You can play at CCK BLK 112 from 3pm to 6pm everyday if you are interested, membership per year is only $12, ball provided. I played there whenever I'm free on weekend.

Interested?
