this thread is for beginners in table tennis to identify themselves, gather together & make frens.

its unfortunate that usually the more advance players cannot spend too much time playing with beginners
cos it will affect their strokes subconsciously.

i think the better way is for u guys to firstly identify yourselves, create sessions for beginners,
make frens & invite the better players to join in to give some guidance to up your skills.

so..erm....who is a beginner in the forum ??
once u have 2 (hopefully living in the same estate), u're good to go !

Let's see... so far we have :
. dc9
. Aaron
. Ciel

Just to test with this beginners club anyone keen to have a regular beginners kaki session ?
- Any preference on the schedule (which day of the week ? What time ?)

- Venue ? (East,West,Central ?)

- How much$ you willing to help ? (share the Indoor Sport Hall standard table booking rate ?)

Indoor Sport hall rate are $1.50/hr before 7pm weekdays. Weekends and PH and After 7Pm are $3.20/hr.

If you really like to held it regularlly, it is better to have some ground rules lay down first..

Thought of keeping it simple, lets see,

book 1 table for 3 hours 7pm-10pm on weekday = $9.6

2 persons show up, each pay $9.6/2 = $4.8

3 persons show up = $9.6/3 = $3.2

4 persons show up = $9.6/4 = $2.4
(must include self, otherwise not fair.)

more than 4 then book another table....

5 persons 2 tables 3 hours = $9.6x2/5=$3.84...

(wah lau, must bring 1 cent coins...)

and if only own self show up then minimum $9.6 donate to sport council 了!

But if heng heng got honorable member liked Sakuragi come to support then may be got chance to make money smiley):)

ok, how about just flat rate $3 per session ? (3 hours play till siok siok)

One suggestion, looser pay table money... then many people will turn up

Another suggestion, game play and looser deposit $1 in piggy bank. Open piggy bank end of the day, pay sport council and the rest is your profit.

Hei beginners,

if you are keen, we can start something on weekend at CCK Sport Complex, a good training venue... I can be your sparring partner and give free pointers/tips... but on one condition, you need to pay for the rental  and bring along a few dozen balls so that we don't spend too much time picking balls

Will anyone be interested?

ya. if loser pays and he happens to be slow in game development. eventually he may not come any more cos keep paying! LOL

yea! antiq's conditions are pretty fair. i dun mind coming once a while to give sparring & pointers too.
it feels good to be helping the tt community grow. our sport is such a minority compare to others.
my preferred location is Tampines sports hall. more for the east side players.

dc9, IMO until u have regular players, it is better to start ad-hoc sessions first.
make frens & get hp numbers for easier, faster communication.
for rentals, splitting is fairest but really, anything goes as long as group is comfortable.
